Commemorating the Alamo Since 1986

OUR MISSIOn

Alamo Historical Society is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to fostering research to better understand the Battle of the Alamo, the formation of Texas, and related history. We honor, promote, and support the Alamo’s historical integrity and preservation.

WHAT WE DO

Members of AHS meet in San Antonio, Texas to commemorate the fall of the Alamo on March 6, 1836, and to pay tribute to the brave individuals who contributed to Texas' struggle for independence. The organization presents an annual symposium during the March 6 observances, open to members and to the public. AHS also publishes The Alamo Dispatch, an online magazine, distributed to members three times a year. (Print issues are available with certain membership plans.)
